SMOnline Private Policy

StepMania Online / SMOnline is the system and community that is centralized around playing StepMania Online. The data and systems are currently located at www.stepmaniaonline.com.

This policy may change at any time without prior notice.

Since StepMania Online is currently free, it is particularly difficult to put effective systems into place to guarantee the safety of your personal information. We, the StepMania Online Administrators, will do our best to adhere to the following policy:

We will not intentionally rent, sell, loan, trade, or knowingly transfer any personal information collected on our site. This includes your password, password hash, and email address.

Any information that is available to the public and other members is public, such as your Screen Name, Username, etc.

We maintain logs of IP addresses, browser data and goings on of all individuals visiting our website. We use this to help find people who may have malice toward StepMania Online, or any of its users. We will not intentionally divulge this information except to legal authorities upon demand.

The forums are an open environment. Anything you post on the SMOnline forums or say in any of the public chartrooms in StepMania Online becomes public information. There will be NO privacy as to your post, or public chat. The passwords are one-way hashed, as to insure their indecipherability. No one on the SMOnline team has the capability to decipher any user’s password.
